Some 50 million copies of the booklets written by our founder Gordon Lindsay, published in more than 80 languages, have found their way to the far corners of the earth. It is humanly impossible to measure their effect on people's earthly belief and eternal destiny.

It is impossible to know the exact amount of them having been published; our 50 million is a conservative figure. After Communism lost steam, we came to know that these books were reproduced on underground presses in some countries, and cherished by those who had them. The very possession of Christian literature could mean imprisonment, even loss of life...

Read, studied, and appreciated inside local prisons, at home, in Bible schools, and on the mission fields of the world, these books have been used by the Lord for well over 60 years. They have been smuggled into controlled countries and read at risk of people's lives. An untold number of Bible Training institutions use them as textbooks. The list goes on, of how they are even today instrumental in the spiritual growth of myriads of people.

A great work is unfolding with our literature!  We have commenced a new program called “Bible School In A Box” consisting of 25 each of our 12 titles, for the purpose of discipleship training.  At the end of the course, each student is given an optional quiz.  This individual then is able to keep the books and may equip others in the same way.

In spite of the advent of television, fax machines, and the internet, reading books is still the preferred method to gain knowledge. TV dishes and antennas are no longer a rare sight in Himalayan villages or by shacks in many rural areas of the world, yet books stay longer, and talk more directly than any other medium.

Yes, history is shaped and influenced by literacy and the books people read. A major factor to determine how advanced a nation is, is how many of her people can read and write.
